For best results, we recommend using a thick pancake batter. Our homemade recipe below is perfect for coating the bananas and comes out super fluffy. If you're using something like Bisquik, you may want to add a little more mix than the box calls for to the batter.

- Bananas, halved and sliced lengthwise
- 1 tbsp.
- butter
- 1 batch prepared pancake batter (see below)
- Melted chocolate, for dipping
PANCAKE BATTER
- 1 1/2 c. all-purpose flour
- 1 tbsp. baking powder
- 2 tbsp. packed brown sugar
- 1 tsp. kosher salt
- 3/4 c. whole milk
- 1/2 c. sour cream
- 2 large eggs
- 1 tsp. pure vanilla extract
DIRECTIONS
FOR THE PANCAKE BATTER:- In a large bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, brown sugar, and salt.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together milk and sour cream, then add eggs one at a time. Stir in vanilla.
- Add wet ingredients to dry ingredients and stir with a wooden spoon until just combined.
- In a large bowl, dip bananas in pancake batter.
- In a large skillet over medium-low heat, melt butter. Add dipped bananas and let cook until golden, 2 minutes per side.
- Serve with melted chocolate for dipping.
- Line basket of air fryer with parchment paper and grease with cooking spray.
- Working in batches, dip bananas in pancake batter then place in a single layer on parchment paper.
- Cook at 350° until golden, about 16 minutes
- Serve with melted chocolate for dipping.
